FJR Center - FJR Service Intervals

The Clubs workshop has built up an excellent name with its quality of workmanship, its massive knowledge on this one make (including the FJ models) and its bonus of cheap parts and labour charges (these are 50% cheaper that normal dealer prices).
This means that it can be very busy in the spring and summer months, normally with up to a few weeks waiting list, and then being quiet in the winter. To ease this I have set up two labour price structures, so encouraging a better spread of work.
Many members forget that if a major service is due annually, then its not important if the job was done February or August, your linkages will still be greased, your shims will still not have gone out of adjustment etc. I have always serviced my bike at the end of a year; this allows me to have a busy spring/summer riding the bike instead of servicing or repairing it.
Mark ‘Ernie’ Lodge has had four years experience of stripping and servicing FJR’s under his belt since they were introduced in 2001 and he’s more of an FJR anorak than myself.
The FJR Centre was set up just to specialise in the new FJR model.
To support those who regularly bring their FJR in for its annual servicing etc. I will offer a discount of 17.5% on its labour if the servicing is carried out within the Yamaha service schedule (see Maintenance Details page in the club catalogue).
Thank you for your support and please book early for the summer period.

FUDGE Workshop - FJ Service Intervals

If you need advice (and are a member!) then Phil is happy to discuss it on the phone - but bear in mind that he might be struggling with an exhaust system or timing chain if you do. For this reason, please don't phone for spares unless it;s a real emergency, better to write, or even better, fax.

As well as the workshop there is a stock of various 'parts and accessories' at excellent prices. Because Phil really only works on FJs, many of the items are specially tailored to FJ use such as the 'Scotoiler' with a special engine sprocket feed bracket, thermostatically- controlled oil cooler, progressive front springs etc.

Although we have had a small increase in labour prices as you will know its still not the £45 per hour at your local tyre kicking dealer and their normal £200 charge for an oil and filter change!

To support those who regularly bring their Fudge in for its annual servicing etc. I will offer a discount of 10% on its labour if the servicing is carried out within Yamaha service schedule (see Maintenance Details page in the club catalogue).
